Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust frameworks
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security gaps
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and recovery operations
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or Terraform
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies through continuous research and training
- Present security briefings to executive stakeholders and technical teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on experience in security operations
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CEH, or OSCP preferred)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container security
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
