Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to mitigate threats in real-time.
- Design, implement, and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and intrusion prevention systems to secure network perimeters.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses before attackers do.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, conducting forensics and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (DevSecOps).
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in compliance with ISO 27001 and GDPR.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and security frameworks (NIST, CIS).
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as FireEye, Snort, Bro, and Kali Linux.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or Security+ are highly preferred.
