Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architectures
- Lead incident response investigations and forensic analysis during security breaches
- Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-premise environments
- Develop security automation solutions using Python and DevSecOps practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks
- Mentor junior security analysts and document security procedures
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in security engineering roles
- CISSP, OSCP, or CISM certification required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security services and cloud-native architectures
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for security automation
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking and encryption protocols
- Proven track record in incident response and root cause analysis
