Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive security solutions across cloud, network, and application infrastructures
- Lead incident response investigations and forensic analysis for security breaches
- Develop and maintain security automation frameworks using Python, Ansible, and Terraform
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research
- Mentor junior security engineers and contribute to security awareness programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering with focus on cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CISM required; CompTIA Security+ preferred
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
- Proven experience with network security protocols (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
