Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end security solutions including cloud security architectures, network segmentation, and zero-trust frameworks
- Lead incident response operations, conduct forensic investigations, and develop mitigation strategies for sophisticated cyber threats
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps in complex IT environments
- Develop and maintain security automation tools using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
- Create comprehensive security documentation including runbooks, playbooks, and compliance frameworks
- Mentor junior security professionals and contribute to the development of organizational security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with proven expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and network security
- Industry certifications including CISSP, CCSP, or OSCP (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, and SIEM platforms
- Experience with container security (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code security
- Demonstrated ability to conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for complex systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to thrive in high-pressure security incident scenarios
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
