Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms
- Lead penetration testing engagements for cloud and on-premise environments
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct forensic investigations
- Automate security workflows with Python/Ansible integration
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct security awareness training
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for secure CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Research emerging threats and contribute to security research publications
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in engineering roles
- CISSP, OSCP, or GSE certifications required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security frameworks and tools
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS)
- Experience with cloud-native security solutions (GuardDuty, Sentinel)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation
- Proven track record in incident response and threat hunting
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
