Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising plans that align with company goals and seasonal trends.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, analyze sell-through rates, and manage replenishment to ensure optimal inventory availability.
- Visual Merchandising: Oversee the implementation of visual standards in-store, ensuring brand consistency and maximizing product visibility.
- Data Analysis: Utilize sales data and market research to identify opportunities for assortment optimization and pricing strategies.
- Vendor Collaboration: Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate terms and ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior merchandising staff and conduct training sessions on best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or inventory management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Excel, and POS systems.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable business insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to various store locations within the region as required.
