Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising plans aligned with seasonal trends and sales targets
- Optimize product assortments, inventory allocation, and display strategies across 15+ store locations
- Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and adjust merchandising tactics in real-time
- Lead vendor negotiations and manage purchase orders to maximize margin performance
- Train store teams on visual merchandising standards and new product launches
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create cohesive in-store and digital campaigns
- Monitor competitor activities and emerging retail technologies to maintain market leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field (5+ years experience without degree)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive merchandising experience in high-volume retail environments
- Expertise in inventory management systems and retail analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales and margin targets
- Strong knowledge of fashion retail trends and consumer behavior
- Exceptional project management and cross-departmental collaboration skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization software
- Ability to travel 10-15% for store visits and vendor meetings
