Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex experiments in gene editing, protein engineering, and cell-based assays
- Lead interdisciplinary R&D projects from conceptualization through preclinical validation
- Analyze and interpret large-scale genomic and proteomic datasets using bioinformatics tools
- Develop novel research methodologies and optimize experimental protocols
- Collaborate with process engineering teams to scale laboratory innovations
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to scientific publications
- Stay current with emerging biotechnology trends and regulatory landscapes
Qualifications
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in CRISPR-Cas9, next-generation sequencing, or high-throughput screening
- Strong background in mammalian cell culture and primary cell isolation techniques
- Experience with bioinformatics tools (Python, R, or MATLAB) and statistical analysis
- Demonstrated ability to design and troubleshoot complex experimental workflows
- Publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
