Responsibilities
- Lead R&D Initiatives: Spearhead the design and execution of complex research projects focused on deep learning, computer vision, and robotic control systems.
- Prototype Development: Translate theoretical models into functional prototypes, ensuring rigorous testing and validation.
- Publication & Patenting: Author high-impact research papers for top-tier journals and conferences, and drive the patenting process for proprietary technologies.
- Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior scientists and PhD researchers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, software engineers, and hardware specialists to align research goals with business objectives.
- Technical Strategy: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and academic advancements to ensure NexGen Dynamics remains a market leader.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an R&D environment, preferably within the AI, robotics, or semiconductor industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
- Research Record: A proven track record of academic publications (IEEE, NeurIPS, ICRA, etc.) and/or filed patents.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems using data-driven methodologies.
