Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary R&D projects in quantum computing and nanotechnology
- Design and execute complex experiments with cutting-edge laboratory equipment
- Develop novel methodologies for data analysis and experimental validation
- Collaborate with patent attorneys to protect intellectual property assets
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Secure external funding through federal grants and industry partnerships
- Present research outcomes at international scientific conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Materials Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on R&D experience in quantum or nanotechnology
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications and patent applications
- Expertise in experimental design and statistical analysis methodologies
- Strong proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or R for data modeling
- Experience securing federal grants (NSF, DoE, etc.) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
