- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure and manage government/industry research grants totaling $500K+
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and safety regulations in lab environments
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize research findings
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, AI, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch) and lab automation
- Demonstrated success securing SBIR/STTR grants
- Strong analytical skills with DOE and statistical modeling expertise
- Experience leading international research collaborations
- Patent portfolio with 3+ granted patents
