Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex experiments in molecular biology and synthetic chemistry
- Lead cross-functional teams of 5-8 researchers in preclinical development
- Develop novel methodologies for CRISPR-based therapeutics
- Secure and manage $1M+ in NIH and industry funding
- Translate research findings into scalable manufacturing processes
- Present findings at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior scientists and foster lab innovation culture
Qualifications
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- 5+ years of industry R&D experience in biotech/pharma
- Proven track record of 3+ peer-reviewed publications in Nature/Science/Cell
- Expertise in CRISPR-Cas9, NGS, and high-throughput screening
- Strong project management with PMP certification preferred
- Experience with regulatory pathways (FDA/EMA) for therapeutics
- Exceptional problem-solving skills in ambiguous research environments
