Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for oncology patients.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other advanced treatments following strict ONS guidelines.
- Lead multidisciplinary rounds to ensure integrated patient care and effective symptom management.
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment pathways, and long-term wellness strategies.
- Mentor and supervise junior nursing staff to maintain high standards of clinical practice.
- Accurately monitor and document patient responses to treatment using EPIC EHR systems.
- Collaborate with the research department to support and monitor clinical trial participation.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in oncology, hematology, or acute care settings.
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification highly preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and advanced medical technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills and high emotional intelligence for patient advocacy.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
