Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, adjusting care plans in real-time.
- Administer complex medications, monitor intravenous drips, and maintain life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and respiratory therapists, to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Perform advanced clinical interventions, including arterial line monitoring and hemodialysis management.
- Provide empathetic support and clear, concise communication to patients and their families.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) to ensure clinical compliance.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students in best practices for critical care.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Strong proficiency in utilizing advanced medical technology and EMR software.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
