Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of critically ill patients, monitoring vital signs and interpreting complex diagnostic data.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and advanced life support treatments per physician orders.
- Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and surgeons to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated medical equipment, including ventilators and bedside monitoring systems.
- Maintain precise electronic health records and ensure compliance with patient safety protocols.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing education programs.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong proficiency in cardiac rhythm analysis and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to thrive in a high-pressure clinical environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team.
