Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients within the ICU environment.
- Continuously monitor patient vital signs, ventilators, and infusion pumps, adjusting care plans in real-time.
- Collaborate effectively with intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists to execute life-saving interventions.
- Maintain precise, real-time documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Act as a clinical mentor and preceptor for junior staff and nursing students.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to communicate patient status and progress.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital clinical policies.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive in high-stress, emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient advocacy.
- Advanced knowledge of critical care equipment and pharmacological management.
