Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters continuously.
- Administer complex medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products according to hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists, to develop individualized care plans.
- Operate and manage advanced life support equipment, including ventilators and bedside monitors.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to families navigating critical health situations.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety policies, and patient privacy standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Critical Care or ICU setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure in high-acuity environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative patient care.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically Epic.
