Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters continuously.
  • Administer complex medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products according to hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists, to develop individualized care plans.
  • Operate and manage advanced life support equipment, including ventilators and bedside monitors.
  • Provide empathetic support and clear communication to families navigating critical health situations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety policies, and patient privacy standards.
  • Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Critical Care or ICU setting.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure in high-acuity environments.
