Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, adjusting care plans based on real-time data.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Administer advanced medications and manage complex medical equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Provide critical emotional support and education to patients and their families during high-stress periods.
- Lead shift handovers and mentor newly hired nursing personnel to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
- Document patient progress accurately within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting.
- BSN degree required; MSN or relevant clinical certification (CCRN) is highly preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under extreme pressure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
- Proficiency with modern hospital information systems and EHR software.
