Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and record patient condition changes in a high-acuity environment.
- Manage complex medical equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
- Administer critical medications and therapies according to hospital protocols.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during challenging medical circumstances.
- Ensure meticulous documentation of all procedures and patient interactions in the EHR system.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent ICU or Critical Care experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proven ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced medical environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient advocacy.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) management.
