Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patient conditions to develop individualized care plans and monitor progress.
- Critical Care Delivery: Administer medications, perform invasive procedures, and manage ventilator support in accordance with strict protocols.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and pharmacists to ensure holistic patient treatment.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor vital signs and physiological data, intervening immediately in case of clinical deterioration.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHR) for legal and continuity of care purposes.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Licensure: Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Certifications: BLS/ACLS/NIHLS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
