Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans for critically ill patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters continuously.
- Administer complex intravenous medications and manage life-support equipment with precision.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to families regarding patient status.
- Maintain meticulous electronic medical records (EMR) ensuring regulatory and hospital compliance.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Demonstrated ability to perform under high-pressure situations with calm judgment.
- Proficiency with modern electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to evidence-based nursing practice.
