Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions.
- Interpret critical patient data and escalate findings to the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer life-sustaining medications and manage advanced mechanical ventilation systems.
- Maintain precise medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Advocate for patients and families, providing education and emotional support during high-stress periods.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, infection control, and ethical nursing practice.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or high-acuity critical care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered mindset.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
