Role Overview
As a Senior RN in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care. You will act as a mentor to junior staff and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond immediately to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Mentor and guide junior nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- Minimum of 3 years of Critical Care or ICU experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to patient advocacy and ethical medical practices.
