Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in the ICU.
- Monitor patient vital signs and complex medical equipment, ensuring immediate intervention when necessary.
- Administer advanced medications and therapeutic treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists to coordinate patient care plans.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive electronic health records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during high-stress medical events.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and assist in clinical orientation processes.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function effectively under extreme pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize advanced patient monitoring and infusion technology.
