Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and record patient conditions in a high-acuity ICU setting.
- Administer medications and treatments precisely according to physician protocols.
- Operate and interpret complex life-support systems and cardiac monitoring equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring emotional and physical well-being for patients and their families.
- Maintain strictly accurate clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in rapid-response codes.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- BSN degree preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing with extensive experience considered.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or ability to obtain).
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under extreme pressure.
- Proficiency with modern Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms like Epic or Cerner.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective family education and team collaboration.
