Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, adjusting care plans based on real-time physiological data.
- Administer complex medication protocols and manage advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and dialysis machines.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, respiratory therapists, and surgeons to execute clinical interventions.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students in best practices and unit protocols.
- Participate in unit-based councils to drive improvements in patient safety and clinical quality.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Massachusetts RN licensure.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and ability to remain calm under extreme pressure.
- Proficiency in modern healthcare information systems and patient monitoring software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to team-based medicine.
