Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for oncology patients including chemotherapy administration and symptom management
- Lead interdisciplinary care planning and coordinate with oncologists, social workers, and palliative care teams
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize Epic EHR for precise documentation and care coordination
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and self-management strategies
- Collaborate in rapid response team activations and emergency interventions
Qualifications
- BSN required (MSN preferred) with current IL RN license
- 3+ years oncology/hematology experience in acute care setting
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification strongly preferred
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and chemotherapy/biotherapy credentials
- Demonstrated expertise in patient assessment and critical care interventions
- Experience with electronic health records and care coordination platforms
- Exceptional communication skills and cultural competency in diverse populations
