Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced cardiac monitoring and emergency interventions for critically ill patients
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with physicians, therapists, and specialists
- Mentor nursing staff through clinical rotations and skill development workshops
- Implement evidence-based protocols to improve patient outcomes and reduce ICU length of stay
- Lead rapid response team activations during code blue emergencies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred
- Current Illinois RN license with ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certifications
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and vasoactive drips
- Strong leadership skills with prior preceptorship experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in high-pressure environments
