Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor complex cardiac patients in a high-acuity environment.
- Administer specialized cardiac medications and manage vasoactive drips with precision.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced life-support equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors.
- Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, perfusionists, and respiratory therapists to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Participate in emergency cardiac codes and rapid response protocols.
- Provide detailed patient education and emotional support to families navigating cardiac recovery.
- Maintain impeccable electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU, CVICU, or CCU setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PCCN or CCRN certification.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on team-based care delivery.
- Fluency in modern hospital informatics systems.
