Responsibilities
- Manage complex care for patients with acute cardiac conditions, including post-operative recovery.
- Monitor and interpret real-time telemetry, hemodynamic data, and laboratory results to guide clinical interventions.
- Administer advanced cardiac medications and manage life-support equipment with precision.
- Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding long-term cardiac health and post-discharge management.
- Maintain impeccable electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Act as a clinical preceptor and mentor to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a CICU, CCU, or high-acuity ICU setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure emergency situations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered clinical excellence.
