Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Cardiac ICU.
- Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret complex ECG data accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, intensivists, and pharmacists.
- Manage mechanical circulatory support devices including IABPs and Impella pumps.
- Ensure meticulous documentation of all clinical assessments and interventions.
- Provide empathetic education and support to patients and their families.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current MA Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Cardiac ICU or high-acuity setting.
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Epic preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment and crisis management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
