Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
- Monitor and manage complex hemodynamic support systems and mechanical circulatory devices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, intensivists, and respiratory therapists.
- Assess patient conditions, interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate timely interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative recovery plans and heart-healthy lifestyles.
- Maintain precise electronic medical records ensuring compliance with HIPAA and facility standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and assist in clinical training programs.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Cardiac setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure, life-critical scenarios.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient safety and clinical outcomes.
