Beacon Heights Medical Center is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our elite Cardiac Intensive Care unit. You will provide life-saving care in a high-acuity environment, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to improve patient outcomes in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions in an ICU setting.
- Manage sophisticated life-support systems, including ventilators and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and multi-disciplinary teams to execute complex care plans.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students to foster a culture of clinical excellence.
- Maintain rigorous documentation standards compliant with JCAHO and hospital protocols.
- Participate in unit-based councils and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient safety.
- Act as a charge nurse during shifts, coordinating patient flow and staffing resources.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Cardiac ICU or high-acuity Step-Down unit.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced medical environments.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to make autonomous, informed clinical decisions.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient advocacy and family-centered care models.
