Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, adjusting care plans in real-time based on hemodynamic data.
- Administer complex cardiovascular medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and surgeons.
- Provide patient and family education regarding cardiac procedures, medications, and recovery protocols.
- Manage critical equipment, including ventilators, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
- Document all patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR) with precision and compliance.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in rapid response interventions.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU or Cardiac critical care unit.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from an accredited institution.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced clinical settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered communication.
- Proficiency in modern electronic health record (EHR) systems.
