Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document the status of critically ill cardiac patients in real-time.
- Administer complex medications, manage intravenous lines, and monitor cardiac telemetry equipment.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute personalized patient care plans.
- Lead emergency response efforts, including ACLS interventions during code blue scenarios.
- Provide patient and family education on heart health, post-operative care, and medication adherence.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students to foster a culture of excellence and safety.
- Maintain strictly accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an acute care or cardiac unit (CCU/ICU).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered, empathetic care.
- Proficiency in modern EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
