Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end research initiatives from conceptualization through prototype validation.
- Design and conduct sophisticated experiments to analyze material properties and performance under stress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate novel materials into product roadmaps.
- Document technical findings and present research outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior research staff and foster a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry.
- Oversee lab safety compliance and optimize experimental workflows for increased efficiency.
- Author technical papers and contribute to the company’s intellectual property and patent portfolio.
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Applied Physics.
- 5+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience in advanced research and development.
- Proven track record of innovation, evidenced by publications or awarded patents.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis software (Python, MATLAB, or JMP).
- Strong expertise in characterization techniques like SEM, XRD, or thermal analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex project timelines and research budgets.
