Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end R&D projects from conceptual design through to pilot-scale integration.
- Design and conduct sophisticated experiments using advanced characterization techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new material properties into existing product lines.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, optimize processes, and mitigate technical risks.
- Author high-impact technical reports and patent applications to protect intellectual property.
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence and safety.
- Present research findings to executive leadership to guide strategic investment decisions.
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related physical science discipline.
- 5+ years of professional R&D experience within a high-tech or industrial laboratory environment.
- Deep expertise in nanomaterial synthesis and microscopic characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, XRD).
- Proven track record of managing technical projects with tight delivery timelines.
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis software (Python, R, or JMP).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements.
