Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum error correction protocols using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into physical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate interns
- Develop open-source quantum computing frameworks for community use
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (e.g., surface codes, color codes)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals/conferences
- Experience with cryogenic measurement systems and RF engineering
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
