Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with materials scientists to implement quantum simulations
- Lead research publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary research projects
