Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of computational revolution. We're pioneering quantum algorithms that solve previously impossible problems in cryptography, materials science, and AI optimization. As a Senior Quantum Computing Researcher, you'll design and implement cutting-edge quantum circuits while collaborating with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers.
Our Cambridge facility houses state-of-the-art quantum processors cooled to near absolute zero in a shielded environment. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicists, computer scientists, and engineers to transform theoretical quantum advantage into practical applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit architecture improvements
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Proven track record of high-impact publications
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing
