Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction codes to enhance qubit stability
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware team to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure external research funding through UKRI and EU grants

Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures preferred
