Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end testing plans including functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Lead QA initiatives using JIRA, TestRail, and Selenium to automate test scripts and reduce manual effort
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution with clear severity metrics
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and implement preventive measures
- Analyze test data to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
- Maintain and optimize test environments for accurate validation
- Mentor junior QA engineers and champion quality standards across departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (5+ years experience without degree)
- Proven expertise in manual and automated testing with Selenium/Cypress
- Strong experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured) and SQL
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and defect management systems
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or ISTQB Advanced Level preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Experience leading QA projects in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, fintech)
