Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Lead automation strategy using Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright to enhance testing efficiency
- Identify, document, and track defects with precision using JIRA and TestRail
- Collaborate with developers to establish continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Conduct root cause analysis for critical issues and propose preventive measures
- Mentor QA team members on industry best practices and emerging testing technologies
- Champion quality initiatives through requirements reviews and design validation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in software QA with 2+ years in automation testing
- Expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright)
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured) and performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Certification in ISTQB or equivalent is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate complex requirements into test scenarios
- Proven track record of improving product quality metrics and reducing production defects
