Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies covering functional, performance, security, and regression testing
- Automate testing frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, and custom Python scripts to accelerate validation cycles
- Lead defect management processes using JIRA and Rally, ensuring precise tracking and resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis of production incidents and implement preventive measures
- Mentor junior QA engineers and establish best practices for test documentation
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate CI/CD pipelines with automated testing suites
- Champion quality metrics reporting and provide actionable insights to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering with emphasis on web/mobile application testing
- Expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress)
- Strong knowledge of SQL, API testing (Postman, RestAssured), and performance testing tools
- Experience with agile methodologies and defect tracking systems
- Certification in ISTQB or similar quality assurance framework preferred
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
