Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and software engineers to define acceptance criteria and test strategies.
- Execute complex manual testing when automated solutions are not yet available or practical.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira, ensuring clear reproduction steps and prioritization.
- Contribute to the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to improve release velocity.
- Perform comprehensive regression testing for each product release cycle.
- Mentor junior QA engineers to foster a culture of quality throughout the engineering department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years focused on automated testing.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
