The Role
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will bridge the gap between technical implementation and business requirements. You will be responsible for designing comprehensive test strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and collaborating closely with Product Managers and Developers.
Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning: Design and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases for new feature releases.
- Automation Leadership: Develop, maintain, and improve automated test suites (UI, API, and Unit testing) using industry-standard frameworks.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate testing processes into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines to ensure rapid feedback loops.
- Performance Testing: Conduct load and stress testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure system stability under high traffic.
- Defect Management: Collaborate with developers to reproduce, track, and verify the resolution of bugs using JIRA.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior QA engineers and conduct code reviews to foster a culture of quality across the team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a Senior or Lead capacity.
- Automation Skills: Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Programming: Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- API Testing: Experience with RESTful APIs (Postman, RestAssured) and database testing (SQL).
- Tools: Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and JIRA.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
