Responsibilities
- Automation Strategy: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated testing processes into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins/GitLab) to ensure continuous validation and rapid feedback loops.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers and software developers to define test strategies, write user stories, and improve software quality from the ground up.
- Manual Testing: Perform exploratory and edge-case testing to identify usability issues and ensure a flawless user experience.
- Defect Management: Analyze test results, debug failures, and report defects with high precision using JIRA, ensuring clear communication of technical issues.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to technical reviews within the team to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years specifically in Automation Testing.
- Programming: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript (Node.js).
- Frameworks: Strong experience with automation frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.
- API Testing: Familiarity with RESTful API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Database Knowledge: Experience with database testing (SQL) and cross-browser compatibility testing.
- Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD concepts.
