We are looking for a visionary Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our high-velocity team in the heart of Austin’s tech hub. In this role, you will be the guardian of product integrity, architecting sophisticated automation frameworks that ensure our cutting-edge platforms perform flawlessly under pressure.
You will work alongside elite software architects and DevOps experts to integrate automated testing into every stage of the SDLC. Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain robust, scalable end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright or Cypress.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions) to achieve 100% automated deployment readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria for complex distributed systems.
- Conduct deep-dive performance, load, and stress testing to identify system bottlenecks before they hit production.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement preventative automated regression tests.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and evangelize quality-first mindsets across the engineering organization.
- Develop and maintain internal tooling to streamline test data management and reporting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering with a heavy focus on automation.
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, or TypeScript).
- Proven track record of building automation frameworks from scratch for web and mobile applications.
- Extensive experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured) and performance testing suites (JMeter, k6).
- Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
- Strong command of SQL and experience testing data integrity in relational and NoSQL databases.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
