Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key commodities (raw materials, MRO, logistics)
- Lead cross-functional negotiations with global suppliers to secure optimal pricing/terms
- Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs, CSR compliance)
- Analyze market trends and implement cost-saving initiatives (target 10-15% annual reduction)
- Oversee procurement budget ($15M+ spend) and contract lifecycle management
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance on new product introductions
- Drive digital transformation through e-procurement platform implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive purchasing experience in manufacturing/distribution
- CIPS/ISM certification or equivalent procurement credentials
- Expert knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and e-sourcing tools
- Proven track record in global vendor management and risk mitigation
- Advanced analytical skills with cost-benefit modeling expertise
- Strong leadership background managing procurement teams of 5+
- Fluency in English; Spanish/French a plus for international suppliers
